Our Story
A Home Built for
Generations
Built in 1891 by a German-Texas family who valued craftsmanship and hospitality, the Grape Arbor has stood on Crockett Street for over a century. Through wars, economic shifts, and the slow turning of the Hill Country seasons, this house has sheltered families, travelers, and dreamers — each leaving a quiet mark on its bones.
Today, we've restored it room by room: preserving the original heart-pine floors, the gingerbread trim, and the way the morning light falls through the front parlor windows — while adding the comforts you'd expect from a modern stay. We want you to feel the history here, but never at the expense of your comfort.
